What is the Public Procurement Community of Practice?
The Government Commercial and Grants Function (GCGF) has now launched the dedicated Procurement Community of Practice, the evolution of the TPP community of practice. Functioning as the vital 'glue' between your formal learning and real-world commercial delivery, this practitioner-led space is designed to help you translate knowledge into applied practice through peer-to-peer reinforcement, shared resources, and collaborative problem-solving.
By joining this nationally recognised ecosystem, you are connecting with over 13,000 commercial, procurement, and contract management professionals committed to fostering a high-performing, professional, and continuously developing public service. Together, we are building a more resilient and efficient public service capable of delivering better public outcomes, creating value for the nation, and improved policy implementation.
What other procurement L&D products are available?
Learners are still able to access the legacy TPP e-learning, which consists of 3 products: Knowledge Drop, E-learning, and Communities of Practice:
Knowledge Drops
On-demand resources (approx.40 minutes) providing an overview of all changes. These are aimed at non-commercial leaders needing a general level of awareness of the new rules.
E-Learning
The core Procurement product, located on the Government Commercial College. It is available to all procurement and commercial staff, providing a comprehensive grounding of knowledge and understanding of Procurement Act 2023 regulations. Consisting of 10 x 1 hour modules, the learning concludes with a Skilled Practitioner Certification.
Communities of Practice
The Communities of Practice provide a system of collective critical inquiry and reflection of the regime change. These are supported by the central team and superusers and will support individuals to embed what they have learned.
Learning Manual
Provides a summary of the requirements relating to the scope of the Procurement Act 2023, procurement objectives, pipeline notices, conflicts of interest and transitional requirements. The Learning Manual identifies the key changes against the previous regime and sets out what contracting authorities must do to be compliant with the new rules.
What is the future of the TPP e-learning?
As the new Public Procurement e-learning package has now been launched, the TPP page is no longer being updated but is still accessible until April 2027. To stay current, please visit the New Procurement Community Portal for all the latest updates, resources, and policy changes. Additionally, our community forums have now fully transitioned to the new community.
