The GCF have worked with CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) to pilot a bespoke pathway for eligible staff to achieve MCIPS Chartered Status.
Through professional membership designation and the use of post-nominal letters (MCIPS), those who achieve MCIPS Chartered Status can further evidence and maintain their capability and commercial credibility. Individuals will be part of the world’s largest, global professional body, uphold professional standards and codes, and will be assessed and accredited against a set of internationally recognised standards.
To be eligible for the pathway you must meet the following criteria:
Be a current member of the GCO.
Received an A at the Commercial Assessment and Development Centre at CL, ACS, CS or SCS level.
Evidenced 30 hours of recorded CPD. See here for more information on Chartered Status. The option to ‘self-declare’ these hours is also available on your My CIPS dashboard on the understanding that you must be able to produce the evidence if required to do so in the event of your account being randomly selected via an audit of our Chartered Status members.
Worked at a senior, strategic level for at least 5 years
If you believe you are eligible, please contact gcfdevelopmentcentre@cabinetoffice.gov.uk for more information.
