CMTA - How to complete your 360 Survey

Modified on Fri, 6 Sep, 2024 at 4:05 PM

Welcome to the Contract Management Capability Programme (CMCP) training!

You’ve been nominated to join our award-winning Practitioner training & development  course for everyone who works with, or is responsible for public sector contracts.

You’ll be guided on your learning journey by our industry leading Subject Matter Experts and your own dedicated Learning & Development Manager as you work towards your accreditation.

Next steps

  • Complete a 360 Diagnostic Survey

360 Diagnostic Survey

The 360 Diagnostic Survey is a self and peer assessment process based on the Contract Management Professional Standards. These Standards describe who Foundation, Practitioner and Expert contract managers are, and provide guidance on the softer skills and technical expertise needed at each level.

The 360 diagnostic enables you and your peers to identify areas of focus for your development. This can be done through formal training and development activity ‘on the job’. The process will enable you to track your progress over time and towards accreditation.

1. How to start your own survey

Here’s how to start your self-reflective survey:

  • Go to the 360 diagnostic area of the Government Commercial College (GCC). To access this area, click the link below or click the link in the “My Learning Record” tab.

  • Select the “Click here to display Self Diagnostic Page” button

  • Select the “View survey dashboard” button

  • Select the blue button in the “My response” section and work through the questions.

2. Select your peers to complete the survey

Once you have completed your survey, you can select up to 10 peers (i.e. colleagues and managers) to substantiate your skills.

  • Select the blue button in the “My raters” section and input the names and email addresses of up to 10 peers. These peers will then be sent a questionnaire which they have up to 10 days to complete.

  • You may wish to prompt your peers to look out for the email (don’t forget to check the spam folder!)

3. Review your results

Once your peers have completed their responses, you’ll receive an email alerting you that your results are ready to review, and informing you of the next steps.

How to view your results

  • Log back into the 360 diagnostic section on Government Commercial College via the link in the “My Learning Record” tab. Alternatively click the direct link below:

  • Under the “My survey report” section, select the “view report” button. Here you will see a report which gives a breakdown of your strengths and areas for development.

  • Click the blue button to complete your self-reflection questions.

  • Please click on the ‘finalise’ button at the last stage.

Your next steps

If you haven’t already done so, you will be booking yourself on to a Welcome Session, where we will let you know more about your learning journey and what to expect over the coming months.

You’ll have the opportunity to discuss your diagnostic results and establish a personalised learning approach with one of our specialist Learning and Development Managers after your Welcome Session.

Your further options - consider completing Beyond Foundation

Beyond Foundation is an online training course which has been designed to bridge the gap between Foundation training and the Practitioner and Expert courses. If your 360 diagnostic scores indicated some gaps in knowledge, you may wish to work through Beyond Foundation before continuing on your learning journey. This may help to bolster your knowledge and give you the best possible starting point for the rest of your training. We’d encourage you to discuss this opportunity in your call with a Learning and Development Manager.

For questions about your 360, please email  contractmanagementl-d@cabinetoffice.gov.uk.

For technical assistance, please email govcomcollege@cabinetoffice.gov.uk.

Many thanks,

The Contract Management Training and Accreditation (CMTA) Team
