When you receive your ADC Reminder Email, 2 working days prior to your ADC, you will be informed if you do not need to sit the Technical Interview due to having passed it previously. However, you can use your scores to determine this in advance.
For Commercial ADCs, you may carry forward your Technical Interview score from your previous ADC, so long as you completed it:
Within the last 5 years.
At the same, or higher, assessment level as your upcoming assessment (with SCS being the highest level, followed by CS, then ACS, then CL).
You also need to have achieved a certain score depending on your assessment level:
CL or ACS - A score of 3 (or above) in one of the Technical attributes.
CS - A score of 3 (or above) in two of the Technical attributes.
SCS - A score of 3 (or above) in three of the Technical attributes, one of which must be Strategy and Policy Development.
For example, if you attended a CS level ADC in the last 5 years, achieved a score of 3 in two of the Technical attributes and are now attending an ADC at ACS level, then you do not need to sit your Technical interview.
If you are unsure whether you do need to resit your Technical Interview, please email us at gcfdevelopmentcentre@cabinetoffice.gov.uk.
