What if I change my mobile device?

Modified on Wed, 15 Jul at 5:48 PM

If you upgrade or change your mobile phone, your authenticator app connection will not typically automatically transfer over to your new device. You will need to remove your old phone from your account and set up the authenticator app on your new one.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Log in using email authentication:

Go to the GCC login screen and enter your username and password. When prompted for a verification code, select I don't have my device. Enter the temporary code sent to your registered email address to complete your sign-in.

  2. Navigate to your MFA preferences:

Once you are logged in, select your name or profile image in the top-right corner, select Preferences, and click Multi-factor authentication preferences.

  3. Revoke your old device:

Under the Active factors table, locate your old mobile device and click Revoke. This will disconnect your old phone from your account.

  4. Set up your new device:

Click the Setup App button and follow the standard instructions to scan the new QR code and register the authenticator app on your new phone.
